What Are Terp Pearls?

Terp pearls are small balls that sit inside your quartz banger while you dab. You’ll also hear them called banger balls, dab pearls or terp balls. When you pull with a directional or spinner carb cap on top, the airflow spins the pearls around the bucket.

That spinning pushes your concentrate across the whole floor of the banger, so it vaporizes evenly instead of sitting in one puddle. The pearls also hold heat. The result is better flavour, smoother hits and less oil left behind after each dab.

How to Use Terp Pearls

Drop one or two pearls into your banger and heat it with your dab torch like you normally would. Let it cool to your temperature, add your dab with a dab tool, then cap it and pull. Point a directional cap at the pearls and you’ll see them start to spin.

Start with two pearls. If you pack too many into the bucket, they crowd each other and stop moving, which defeats the purpose.

How to Clean Terp Pearls

Clean pearls spin better and taste better. Once your banger has cooled down, pull the pearls out and wipe them with a cotton swab, or soak them in isopropyl alcohol for a deeper clean. Rinse and dry them before they go back in. A quick wipe after each session keeps buildup from baking on. Quartz pearls last a long time with regular cleaning, but swap them out if they chip or stay cloudy after a soak.
